Growing Out a Pixie

pixie.01Okay, so now that I’m engaged, I wanted to start growing out my hair. I will have more options to style with, and I can chop it off in one day if I feel like it.

So, here is my hair (my birthday picture) at the current length.

From those that I’ve found throughout the internet, a lot of people post about this process. Some of them have really great and easy experiences…. others not so much. And from that, I’ve decided to document my own process.

Since there’s no way to really grow your hair ‘faster’, if you keep it healthy, it will help the process.

I’ve decided to use a healthier conditioner to protect damage, I’m taking a mulit-vitamin, drinking lots of water, and staying away from heat as much as possible. For some reason, my mom loves to attack me with a curling iron when she gets a hold of my hair.

I know it’s going to be a long process, but I’m really looking forward to those ‘in between’ phases with shorter (yet longer compared to a pixie) hairstyles that will most likely show up around summer.

If anyone else has gone through this and would like to offer some advice, I am totally open to it. If you have an experience you would like to share, feel free to do so.

Ok — now hair… let’s start growing!
