It’s Actually NOT Impersonal

Imagine you are with your friend, sister, brother, or whoever and you are standing in front of a really big mall. Or at least the biggest mall that you live closest to. So your person and you go into the mall. Your person looks to you and says, “Pick out anything you want and I’m going to pay for it.” So you and your person go into the mall and hangout and talk and grab coffee. You find a store that you love and you go in and find something that speaks to you. You and your person go to … Continue reading It’s Actually NOT Impersonal

Having That ‘Hard Talk’ With Yourself

It’s always hard to come to terms with the fact that you need to change. Yes, I know everyone is all “Love me for who I am,” and that’s fine. But then there are times when you have to look yourself in the mirror and admit that something has to change. Whether that means starting a healthier habit, or working on your patience, or even watching your budget. Change isn’t bad. It might be uncomfortable and scary, but it’s not bad. Want to know why? Because things are likely to change again… and again. Also, working on yourself isn’t a … Continue reading Having That ‘Hard Talk’ With Yourself

Your Comfy Spot

I have the hardest time trying to figure out how to make rooms look comfy. I see all of these pictures on Pinterest and I really want to do them, but when I do what I see in the picture… it kind of just looks cluttered… or really sad. Plus, I’m trying to do it with the furniture that we already have and make it as budget friendly as possible. But how do you do that? How do you make rooms look ‘Home Living’ and ‘Pinterest’ comfy? I know that it takes more than a pillow and a vase of flowers, … Continue reading Your Comfy Spot

Practice Makes… Things Worse

This is just pure speculation because I don’t really know the truth or reality of it. But let me give you a scenario: Think of one of your favorite bands or music artists. Don’t let it be someone that just broke the scene, either. This band/artist needs to have been around for a while. Got one? Great. I have a particular artist that I absolutely love. I have all of her cd’s (some are pure electronic, others I have the actual disc) and I really enjoy her music, personality, ideas, etc. Her first album was phenomenal. I know every song, … Continue reading Practice Makes… Things Worse

Watch Your Language!

I work with a few people who have English as their second language. And I never really thought about how I spoke until I had to have conversations with them on a daily basis. Believe it or not, the manner in which we speak is incredibly complex. When talking to a friend, I basically talk in incomplete sentences. A lot of what I say is implied and my tone directs the whole topic. Next time you’re out in public, just give a quick listen to a nearby conversation and you will realize why English is so hard to learn. English … Continue reading Watch Your Language!

First, You Decide…

Lately I have been feeling a little…. off. It’s really hard to explain the feeling I’m having. Disappointment? Sadness? I’m not too sure, but I’m going to try. A few years ago, I was in a different place in my life (as I’m sure we all were). But I was a different person too. And believe it or not, I really liked that person. She was disciplined, active, informed, and quite happy with her life. Now, I think back to that girl and wonder what happened to her? I feel like now, I’m so out of touch with everything, lazy, … Continue reading First, You Decide…

Technology is Our World

We live in a technologically saturated society. People need to come to understand the reality of this. I do not understand, how there are people who have jobs in this day and age, and have absolutely NO IDEA on how to open a program, save a document, or send an email. Now, I’m not -by any means- an expert at Microsoft Word or Excel. But I can get myself around pretty well. Enough so that I can do most, if not all, of the demands needed on the job. I have come across people who are older, and not only … Continue reading Technology is Our World

Bottled Emotions

I know it’s been a while since I last posted, and a lot has changed since then. I’ve been really trying to figure things out again. I wonder why I stopped blogging so much. I wonder why I no longer do the things I used to do. Basically, I feel like I have been less productive, and I don’t know why. Now, being lazy is really easy… and often fun. I have spent entire days just napping. So, I wonder why I’m being less productive. I know you might be thinking, “Well, cause it’s easy to be lazy! You just … Continue reading Bottled Emotions

The Perfect Friend

Why is everyone else allowed to have an opinion but me? People will start a conversation with me talking about whatever it is they want to, and they will share their opinion on whatever is going on. Now, 9 times out of 10, I disagree with them. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t go so far as to say I ‘disagree’ with them, perhaps, I just have a different perspective. And it’s not because I’m trying to be difficult or give them a hard time, I just see things differently. I do try to be as diplomatic as possible … Continue reading The Perfect Friend

That Tiny Ball

I know I haven’t blogged consistently lately, and basically, it’s because I had an internship for 3 months, and that took up most of my time. So when I could have been blogging, I was doing work. And once you get in the habit of not doing something, you sorta forget that you were doing it in the first place. Anyway, my world has been chaotic lately, and I’m renewed with more to write about. I think that was another problem too; I felt like I didn’t have much to write about. Like my thoughts and ideas were all dried … Continue reading That Tiny Ball
