An Open Letter to My New 31 Yr. Old Me

Hello 31, I’m going to apologize right off the bat and say that I’m sorry you have inherited such a large task. Thirty was struggling and had some issues and so it is now up to you to fix all of it. I know, I know, the daughter should not inherit the sins of her mother, however, there was a lot that was left undone and clearly 30 isn’t going to be around to finish it, so it’s up to you. I’m going to need you to be on point, aggressive, stern, creative and forgiving. Also, you’re going to make … Continue reading An Open Letter to My New 31 Yr. Old Me

30 Before 30

I’m sorry it’s been a while since I posted my list for last year. I’m sure you’re all on the edge of your seats wondering what this year will hold. I basically went through my previous lists, whatever wasn’t complete got placed here. Except for Meth Coffee. I don’t know if I will ever get that. I tried for so many years and I honestly have no idea why I didn’t get it. This year though, I want to try my absolute hardest to complete most if not all of them. I haven’t quite decided if I want to continue … Continue reading 30 Before 30

We Are the Masses!

We have more power than I think we know. Or perhaps we do know, we’re just too lazy to do anything about it. I’m leaning more towards the latter. But I think that if we really want things to change, the power lies 100% in our hands. You might not think so, but must I remind you that WE ARE THE MASSES? We out number every department in Congress combined…times ten. So I think we should practice first on something small. Like the Kardashians. We –as the masses- decide her popularity. If you have people stop buying their products, watching … Continue reading We Are the Masses!

Magic Soap

If I had magic soap, and it could wash away anything, I would have it wash away my fears. Fear is a big factor in my life. I’m not talking about a fear of spiders and clowns. Although, the soap would wash that away too. There have been things that I haven’t done BECAUSE of fear. Whether I feared I would fail, or feared I would be embarrassed, or fear I would be harassed or tormented. I could have probably done a lot more with my life without fear holding me back. I would also have my soap wash away … Continue reading Magic Soap

Defending the Other Side

We all know that when someone is convicted of a crime, there is a plaintiff and defendant. Usually when we hear about the story, we automatically pick a side. He’s guilty! He’s innocent! Let’s work out a scenario. The shooting of Michael Brown. It’s been a year, and people are still quite sensitive about the subject, so I’m going to tread as lightly as I can. Let’s refresh everyone’s memory. Basically, in a nutshell, a white officer (Wilson) was accused of shooting and killing an innocent, unarmed black man (Brown). Everyone has their side. He should be charged with murder! … Continue reading Defending the Other Side

And Now I Really Know…

People often say, “when you meet the right one, you will know it.” I was always confused by this, because with every guy I’ve dated, I’ve pretty much known they weren’t ‘the one’. So I never really knew what it felt like to find the right person. I was in a relationship for quite some time, and I thought that he was the person I was going to marry. Well, the universe has a way of turning the world upside-down, and it did. I admit that since then, I have been on this wild and crazy journey with this new … Continue reading And Now I Really Know…

10 Reasons Why I Would Make a Terrible Spy

1. I am oblivious to the world around me. The majority of the time, I’m too lost in my world to be paying attention to someone else’s. 2. My memory sucks. I mean, it really sucks. I should start playing those brain games. As a spy, you need your memory to recall important information & data. Apparently my brain is too lazy to work. 3. I am clumsy. I have so many bruises on my body that I have no idea as to where they came from! I will walk into walls, fall up the stairs, and trip on pretty … Continue reading 10 Reasons Why I Would Make a Terrible Spy

Lip Gloss is for the Girls

I was looking for some lip gloss to wear the other day to work. I wanted to find something something a little different even though all my lip glosses are usually some shade of pink. So, I found one for that day and put some on. Every girl knows that lip gloss doesn’t last more than 2 hours. Reapplication is necessary through out the day. After drinking. Definitely after eating. Sometimes after talking for a while, it seems to just wear off. Well, since I was at work, I didn’t reapply as often as I should have done. Then, I … Continue reading Lip Gloss is for the Girls

One Digit Off

I have to follow up on calls every single day of work. I will call the same person three days in a row for the same reason. Sometimes, I will have to follow up on calls that other people have made to other people. It happened to be a Friday, the very last day keeping me from a wonderful week that I get to make a call that will completely change the whole day. As it turns out, the phone number being called was one digit off. We were calling someone completely different, who had no idea of what was … Continue reading One Digit Off
