Read: Hitchhiker’s Guide (#17)

Once upon a time, I started to read Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and then something happened and I never finished it. Well, on the list it went! I finished the book in maybe 3 days? It’s not a very long book and it’s definitely an easy read. Plus, it’s hilarious and fun to read. I’m actually almost finished with the second book in the series (Restaurant at the End of the Universe). This is a book that I recommend everyone read. Like I said, it’s funny and it’s a quick read so you can still have time to read … Continue reading Read: Hitchhiker’s Guide (#17)

Read: Persepolis (#1)

“Persepolis” made the list, because it was a book that a friend of mine had to read in college. I had never heard of it before, but it sounded like it was an interesting book. The friend who read it, wasn’t really into reading, but she said it was a really good book and she enjoyed it. I held on to this for quite some time, and I don’t remember how I was reminded of it, but it was brought to my attention at one point, and I decided to add it to my list. I have to say, that … Continue reading Read: Persepolis (#1)

What Everyone Wants to Know

I’m reading a book that is on my birthday list, and as I’m about half way through it, I think, “I wonder how this ends.” And then I began to think, that’s the one thing everyone wants to know. “How does the book end?” “How does the movie end?” It’s the most criticized part of everything. “I hate how it ended.” “The ending sort of left you hanging.” No one really wants to know how things all began, they want to know how it ends. You would think people would be interested in the beginning. Do you want to know … Continue reading What Everyone Wants to Know

Fifty Shades Darker (#15)

*WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ IS MY OPINION, AND MY OPINION ONLY. YOU CAN CHOOSE TO AGREE OR DISAGREE* **THERE ARE SPOILERS IN THIS POST. IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THIS BOOK, AND WANT TO WAIT TO SEE HOW THE STORY UNFOLDS – TURN AWAY NOW.** ***I REPEAT, THERE ARE SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK*** Okay, now that the formalities are taken care of, we can continue on. I was hesitant to read this series, because everyone was reading it, and it was the biggest discussions of a movie, etc. My girlfriend (Chica) had read the series and … Continue reading Fifty Shades Darker (#15)

One for the Money (#6)

The reason I wanted to read One for the Money was because I heard it was a really great series. I wanted to start something that I could continue to read through. I’ve never really read a series… if at all. I don’t know why. For whatever reason, I couldn’t dedicate myself to reading Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, etc. I’m sure I had a reason then… I just can’t remember it now. Anyway, I heard that the Stephanie Plum series would be a really great, light, and funny read. There’s a whole series of Stephanie Plum books and I … Continue reading One for the Money (#6)

Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls (#22)

I am a big fan of David Sedaris. I will probably continue to read his works as long as he keeps producing them. For others, he might not be their cup of tea, and that’s just fine too. His new release, Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls, was on my list. Of course! I really did enjoy this read. The way he writes, and the topics he chooses make me feel like I’m his friend and he’s emailing me stories. memories, experiences, etc. The book is a book of essays, so there’s no real connection between any of the stories. Feel … Continue reading Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls (#22)

Preacher: Gone to Texas (#19)

The first graphic novel I’ve decided to read is: Preacher: Gone to Texas. I was first introduced to this while in college. It was part of my senior seminar. I was only required to read volume one, and it really stuck with me. For starters, I’ve never read a graphic novel, and second, it was a very interesting topic. There are 66 volumes, along with a few ‘specials’ regarding the characters mentioned in the story. It was really fun to read. I was surprised actually. I’m not really used to looking at pictures, and having a story told in that … Continue reading Preacher: Gone to Texas (#19)
